Nominations for the 2011 Railway Stakes is due to be released on the morning of Monday November 14, 2011, while the final field and barrier draw will be announced on Wednesday November 16, 2011.

Perth Racing is currently trying to recruit New Zealand galloper King Mufhasa to take part in the 2011 Railway Stakes.

King Mufhasa won the Group 1 Toorak Handicap last start and is looking towards the $1 million Emirates Stakes on November 5, 2011.

“We’re trying hard to get King Mufhasa here,” said Perth Racing’s general manager of racing and vision Marty Young.

“They’ve shown interest but they want to get through the Emirates first.

“They might be looking at around 59kg and that weight appeals to them.”
