Trainer Neville Parnham is adamant that Playing God can win the Group 1 Railway Stakes at Ascot Racecourse this Saturday November 23, 2013.

Playing God has won eight of his 39 race starts and has earned more than $1.57 million in prize money during his horse racing career.

The Blackfriars entire won the Group 3 Northerly Stakes two starts back, before placing sixth of ten runners in the Group 2 Lee Steere Stakes at Ascot last run.

“His form has been fantastic this time in,” said Parnham.

“I think he is going as well as he was two years ago.

“I thought his Lee Steere Stakes run was as good as his Northerly Stakes win.

“I think he is an excellent chance on Saturday.”

Playing God is currently paying odds of $21 to win the 2013 Railway Stakes at, while Emirates Stakes runner-up Smokin’ Joey is the $5 favourite.

The six-year-old Playing God is no stranger to Group 1 wins, winning the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic two years in a row in 2010 and 2011.

While he was failing to find his winning form throughout much of 2012 and 2013, he appears to be back in career best form in time for this Saturday’s 2013 Railway Stakes.
